The North Star Dakotan is a series of educational articles covering North Dakota history from the time of the dinosaurs through recent American history.
The North Star Dakotanprovides education resources not only for fourth grade, eighth grade, and high school North Dakota Studies classes but also for cross-curricular applications for K-12 classrooms.

The North Star Dakotanand the North Dakota Studies website is a collaboration of the North Dakota Humanities Council (NDHC), the North Dakota Center for Distance Education, and the North Central Council for School Television in partnership with Prairie Public
The North Star Dakotan is edited by Dr. D. Jerome Tweton. It was designed by the late Everett Albers, former Executive Director of the North Dakota Humanities Council. The North Star Dakotan was originally printed by the Bismarck Tribune in 1993.
